Emily Dancy – Club Director
Emily Dancy is an original “Gymny Kricket” (BGA’s former name) and has been a part of the sport of gymnastics since a very young age. She began her Coach-in-Training certification at the age of 12 and has been coaching ever since (28 years experience). She has experience coaching all ages from the “You & Me” to the adult level. Her certifications include Level 1 Facilitator for NCCP gymnastics, Level 2 Artistic Gymnastics and Level 2 Trampoline. Emily attended Seneca College for Advanced Coaching Techniques (Gymnastics), is a certified Educational Assistant and has numerous years of experience working with children. During her 10 years as recreational director at BGA, she started her own “Movers and Shakers Playschool” program.
Taylor Cooper – Competitive Program Coordinator
Taylor has been involved with gymnastics since a young age, as she competed as a provincial gymnast for many years. Some of her best childhood memories are in the gym with teammates and coaches at BGA. Although she has not been training in recent years, she has been involved with BGA as a recreational coach for the past eight years. Taylor’s certifications include NCCP Level 1 and Level 2 Women’s Artistic Gymnastics. She is also a graduate of the Police Foundations Program and the Community and Justice Services Program at Algonquin College.
Mackenzie Nowlan – Recreational Program Coordinator
Mackenzie has been a part of BGA for many years. She has done recreational gymnastics since a very young age. She started her Coach in Training certification at the age of 13 and has been coaching ever since (7 years). She is NCCP Level 1 Artistic Gymnastics Certified, Level 2 Trained and Level 1 Trampoline Certified. Mackenzie attended KLC college and is now a certified Educational Assistant.
